usbutils-0.77 has been released upstream. It is the latest official release since Aug 2002 and contains bugfixes and new features (USB 2.0 aware, understands more device descriptors etc). usbutils-0.77 now compiles against dev-libs/libusb rather than including its own private copy in the source tarball. It also contains an updated usb.ids (2005/01/06). The "usbmodules" program is described as deprecated in the NEWS file, and is no longer built by default. I'm not sure whether an option for building this needs to be included in the ebuild.
Oops. -0.77 should of course read -0.70

will get this into the tree tomorrow, thanks.
and the homepage seems to be http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3581&package_id=142529
Hi, I changed the URL (homepage) and inserted ~amd64. Compiled fine. No problems for amd64 ;-) Regards Christian N.B.: usbutils-0.11-r? could NOT be compiled.
There is now already usbutils-0.71... I just tried the 0.71 with a renamed ebuild for 0.70 and it ran correctly on amd64. I suggest that when the usbutils is added to the tree it will be marked ~amd64.

If you want to, sure. It might take me a bit to get around to updating this build...
