NEW RELEASE: Gnome Sensors Applet Version 0.1 http://sensors-applet.sourceforge.net/ Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created an attachment (id=48630) [edit] ebuild this is the first ebuild I have written so if is no good, please feel free to tell me
0.4.0 is out, I'll attempt to modify your ebuild to build it, then I'll letcha know what I thought of your ebuild. ;)
Heh, of course, there's an updated ebuild for 0.4.0 on the official homepage that works great. ;) Both ebuilds look nice, BTW, simple, with no issues I can see.
*** Bug 79905 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Whats the word on getting this into portage foser?? For latest version (0.6.2 at writing of this) no changes are needed for the ebuild, it just needs to be renamed..
Created an attachment (id=51721) [edit] Updated ebuild for GNOME Sensors Applet Version 0.6.2 Added ~amd64 keyword Corrected LICENCE="GPL-2" to LICENSE="GPL-2" (spelling mistake)
Created an attachment (id=53897) [edit] Ebuild for sensors applet 0.7
Created an attachment (id=53898) [edit] Updated ebuild for GNOME Sensors Applet Version 0.7 Fetch from a sourceforge mirror instead of directly from the project homepage Don't bother looking on Gentoo mirrors since is not in portage Improved description (Thanks to Jelle Kalf for the first two)
Created an attachment (id=57805) [edit] Updated Ebuild for Sensors Applet 0.7.3 Updated back to Gtk 2.4 as dep, since added backwards compatibility. @foser / other gnome dev's - What can I do to speed up the process of getting this into the official portage tree??
Created an attachment (id=62288) [edit] Ebuild for GNOME Sensors Applet Version 1.0 First stable release - marked x86 stable.
Created an attachment (id=63045) [edit] sensors-applet-1.2.ebuild No actual changes; just tidied up RDEPEND and DOCS lines. A thought: perhaps lm_sensors and hddtemp should be in RDEPEND, USE-controlled of course?
Created an attachment (id=63049) [edit] sensors-applet-1.2.ebuild Added ~ppc, updated description, added hddtemp use flag.
Created an attachment (id=64131) [edit] sensors-applet-1.4.ebuild Updated description for latest release, otherwise is unchanged...
I notice there is a call for package maintainers for the Gnome Gentoo herd. As the package author I am happy to maintain the ebuild for this package and obviously handle any bugs etc. if this is added to the portage tree (which would be very nice IMHO).
OK, now that description is just way too long... something short like DESCRIPTION="GNOME panel applet to display readings from hardware sensors" would be more sensible. Note: I got a crash with the new version: Sensors Applet-ERROR **: file sensors-applet-gconf.c: line 79 (sensors_applet_gconf_paths_valid): assertion failed: (paths = panel_applet_gconf_get_list(sensors_applet->applet, PATHS, GCONF_VALUE_STRING, NULL)) aborting... Fixed by deleting the applet and adding it again - I guess the upgrade code is broken.
I suggest to use >=app-admin/hddtemp-0.3_beta13 because previous versions have some little problem with hddtemp init.d script if used with the CONSOLE kernel option (needed by recent splashutils versions), see http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=100446 for more details PS: this is a beautiful applet ;)
Created an attachment (id=67460) [edit] sensors-applet-1.4-r1.ebuild Updated to >=hddtemp-0.3_beta13
Okay, 1.5 is now committed to portage, with ~amd64. x86 and ppc: please test and keyword ~arch if appropriate.
i've added ~x86. removing x86 herd from CC
Marked ~ppc.
Created an attachment (id=76156) [edit] sensors-applet-1.6.ebuild Version bump, fix scrollkeeper omf
