Description:   Opened: 2004-12-20 17:16 0000
Version 0.2.1 (newest stable ebuild) was too old for my parallel scanner (
Canon CanoScanFB620P ) to work, so I looked for the latest stable version at
SourceForge ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/libieee1284/ ) and applied a
non-official patch seen there (it should fix some bugs), attached below, which
also adds a dependency to autoconf(-2.58 is the version tested by the
developer).
I can't test my ebuild on an amd64 , so I left that arch out ( -amd64 , should
I set it to ~amd64 instead?).

I hope it would help someone else,
   Simone

in cvs.

------- Comment #5 From Jim Dabell 2006-11-16 19:50:20 0000 -------
This has been in cvs but masked by ~x86 for a couple of years now. 0.2.10 has
been out for a year and a half too. Is there any chance of at least getting
0.2.8 unmasked? My scanner simply doesn't work with 0.2.1.

But this isn't a new issue. It's the same issue, it just hasn't been resolved.
Could you reopen this bug please?
