Description:   Opened: 2004-12-08 14:15 0000
There was a rather odd argument in Bug # 73201. It surfaced that enchant 1.1.5
was out and there was a possibility that this version fixed the problem (not
sure, I am no developer, and that seemed to be the point that was being debated
in the argument).
On the off chance that it did fix the problem, and laboring under the
assumption that newer versions of programs generally fix other problems (though
not always) I thought it would be nice to have enchant 1.1.5 in portage.
Unfortunately, to my untrained eye it appears that enchant is rather poor on
the documentation end of things (i.e. no changelog that I could find) so my
perception and hope that it fixes bugs may be misplaced.
I copied over the old ebuild to the newer version and it installed fine. In my
limited testing enchant worked as advertised.
Regards

Enchant 1.1.5 ebuild

The ebuild for the new version. I didn't change the keywords and those may need
to be changed to the unstable version before committing otherwise it seems to
work fine.
Again regards for the fine work of Gentoo

Added to cvs as it has fixes for newer versions of aspell and hspell. Finally
tracked down the closest thing to a valid changelog I could find here:
