Description SpanKY gentoo-dev 2004-12-06 06:34:19 UTC
newer gcc's are putting more than 1 spec file in /etc/env.d/gcc/ per target so the current gcc-config code in stage1 will break

I've added this to CVS... I plan on getting a new catalyst out shortly, so this will be included in it.

Catalyst 1.1.2 is now out!
Comment 4 Brandon Hale (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-21 05:59:54 UTC
Hey, can we get this pushed to stable? Anyone trying to build stages from a clean install (like a chroot on a dev box) will get a stable catalyst and watch it fail one stage2.
Comment 5 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-21 08:04:29 UTC
Considering it has been out for a few days and hasn't been thoroughly tested, I would say that is not a good idea. Especially considering that it requires bootstrap.sh modifications for it to work properly.

Ok so that means that no portage snapshot should be taken today then?
Comment 7 Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-01-21 09:08:18 UTC
Actually, it means nothing of the sort.

Catalyst being stable has nothing to do with the snapshot, as we don't build any GRP packages of catalyst, nor is it included in any stages or on any ISO images.
