At least some of the spec files are certainly out of date, which results in the occasional breakage. For example, in livecd-stage1, kudzu is listed but kudzu-knoppix is already installed as a dependency of something else, so the build dies because of the conflict.
What we're actually going to do is create a release-specs package. This package will have the spec files and kernel configs for every architecture with a released livecd. The examples within the catalyst build itself will go away, simply because there is no real need to maintain more than one set of examples. I'll probably go through and comment the x86 spec files so that there is at least one well-documented spec file set available.
I added hppa, ppc, and ppc64 since there are no specs for these architectures in gentoo/src/releng as there should be. Guys, please remove yourself from this bug once you have either commited the spec files to CVS or have made other arrangements to get them to me so that I can add them to CVS for you.
BUMP .. come on arch leads, commit your stuff.
Pylon committed the 2005.0 material for ppc.

This is somewhat fixed... I have added a livecd-kconfigs and livecd-specs packages to the tree. I have yet to update catalyst/genkernel to RDEPEND on these, but that'll be soon enough.
Catalyst now has an RDEPEND on the newer livecd-specs package when USE=example and installs the updated examples with USE=doc... I know... it's kinda backwards, but it works...
