I need it marked stable, because it fixes sourious libtool file collision problem (bug #69705). Check things twice after stabilization, because it might break libtool (remove his files). It's not a security bug. KEYWORDS now KEYWORDS="~alpha ~amd64 ~hppa ~ia64 ~mips ~ppc ~ppc64 ~sparc ~x86" needs to be changed to KEYWORDS="alpha amd64 hppa ia64 mips ppc ppc64 sparc x86"
Karol - assigning to you so it doesn't show up in bug-wranglers
stable on ppc64
x86 there
Marked stable on ppc.
x86: sorry, but comment #3 says so but it's again marked ~x86 and not x86.
arg, my fault... forgot to commit
amd64 done
I'm still seeing b0rkage on sparc in upgrade (older imagemagick -> newer) scenarios, zapping the libtdl files. Can another sparc devel try this to rule out me needing coffee or vacation? :) Basically /usr/lib/libltdl.so.3* goes missing. This does not happen on x86.
Upgrading from 6.1.3.2 on amd64 I get the same problem with libtdl going missing. Downgrading solves the problem.
Sorry to be a bit off topic but how this package marked stable can resolve the problem as the source tarball isn't available anymore on the imagemagick server?
I can confirm that libtdl goes missing on sparc.
If you have problems with libtld please reemerge sys-devel/libtool. Sylvain: I know about this, all older releases of imagemagick are being removed from imagemagick's mirror. Use our mirrors.
Karol : sorry, it seems I was using an outdated gentoo mirror, so i couldn't get the files. thanks (sorry again for the off-topic)
Stable on mips.
re-emerging libtool seems to have had no effect on the libtld problem
libtld? Which package contain this file?
Stable on alpha.
The confusion is easy here as libtdl comes from imagemagick but libtld comes from libtool.
look at #73464 again.
sparc stable. Went for a compromise solution to warn the user about possible libtool b0rkage w/ fix when emerging imagemagick.
All archs done, thanks.
