Comment 2 Andrew Bevitt 2004-12-03 18:02:00 UTC
The cron script that gets installed with squid as it is should rotate the logs...

What exactly is the purpose of this bug?
Comment 3 Dmitry S. Kulyabov 2004-12-07 03:05:59 UTC
This is fo package logrotate.
IMHO, logrotate is more smart than pure squid.
Comment 4 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-23 08:47:47 UTC
why "squid -k rotate" if you use copytruncate? and shouldn't be postrotate script shared between rotated files?
Comment 5 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-02-23 12:08:01 UTC
I've added support for logrotate.
Basically, I've inserted a new USE flag (logrotate) which installs the logrotate.d file instead of the usual cron file.
