Description Christopher Korn 2004-11-11 15:35:22 UTC
If tor is merged but tsocks is missing the command "torify" throws a errormessage.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge tor (make sure that "tsocks" is not installed)
2. tor
3. torify APPLICATION

Actual Results:
tor is installed but without "tsocks" torify APPLICATION doesn't work

Expected Results:
added dependency for tsocks in the tor ebuild

Jose,

I've bumped to the new release of 0.0.9.1, and added back in the tsocks dep, since it really actually is a RDEPEND. I had to remove the ppc-macos keywords in the process. I think ultimately tsocks needs to find a way to get marked ppc-macos. Thoughts?
Comment 2 Joe Jezak (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-12-28 08:06:03 UTC
Yeah, removing the ppc-macos keyword was the right thing to do. If I find the time, I'll look into getting tsocks to compile, but I'd just close this bug for now since I'm not going to get to it for a while.
Comment 3 Alin Năstac (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2005-04-23 03:18:32 UTC
net-misc/tsocks has been moved to net-proxy/tsocks

as of comment #1 and #2, see bug #59854.
the missing dependency is fixed so I will close this bug.
