After compiling dia 0.94 I get a garbled display (certain words being displayed much too big) of a diagram if I put my diagram window full-screen and then press Ctrl+e to have the entire diagram displayed in this window. Requesting a redraw only makes matters worse Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. install dia 0.94 2. open a random diagram 3. set the diagram window full screen 4. press Ctrl+e (or via the menu: right mouse click, "view", "display all" Actual Results: garbled display (see screenshot) Expected Results: normal display of the diagram emerge info Portage 2.0.50-r11 (default-x86-1.4, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.3.20040420-r1, 2.6.7) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.7 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.80GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.4.16 distcc 2.13 i686-pc-linux-gnu (protocols 1 and 2) (default port 3632) [enabled] Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r4 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.3 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -mno-sse2" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3.2/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/env /usr/kde/3.3/share/config /usr/kde/3.3/shutdown /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/lib/mozilla/defaults/pref /usr/share/config /usr/share/texmf/dvipdfm/config/ /usr/share/texmf/dvips/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/config/ /usr/share/texmf/tex/platex/config/ /usr/share/texmf/xdvi/ /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium4 -O3 -pipe -mno-sse2" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs ccache distcc sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.belnet.be/mirror/rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo http://gentoo.oregonstate.edu http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j5" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://ftp.belnet.be/gentoo-portage" USE="X acl alsa apache apache2 apm arts artswrappersuid avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bonobo cdr crypt cups dvd dvdr emacs encode esd f77 flac foomaticdb freetds gd gd-external gdbm gif gnome gphoto2 gpm gstreamer gtk gtk2 gtkhtml guile imap imlib innodb ipv6 java jpeg kde kerberos ldap libg++ libwww mad maildir mcal mikmod mmx motif mozcalendar mozilla mozp3p mozsvg mozxmlterm mpeg mysql nas ncurses nls odbc oggvorbis opengl oss pam pda pdflib perl png postgres povray ppds python qt quicktime readline samba sasl scanner sdl silc slang slp spell sse ssl svga tcltk tcpd tetex tiff truetype usb vhost x86 xchattext xinerama xml xml2 xmms xprint xv zeo zlib"

There are a number of bugs in Gnome's bugzilla regarding bad font rendering in Dia. Try to find a report there that reflects your problem, and if you find one please post the URL or bug number here to track it. At this stage, probably the best we could do is wait for a new release. By the way, do you experience the same problem with dia-0.93?
Created bug report in gnome bugzilla: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=159114
Same problem *not* in dia 0.93
Hello, Could you please test dia-0.94-r1? That revision includes a patch that should fix this problem. Thanks.
No feedback, but should be resolved now
