workaround/fix (the following commands also fix xmms-xosd to make future
version
bumps a matter of renaming the file only.):

'cd /usr/portage'
'cp -a x11-libs/xosd/xosd-1.0.0-r1.ebuild x11-libs/xosd/xosd-1.0.2.ebuild'
'sed -e "s/xosd-1.0.0/xosd-\${PV}/"
media-sound/xmms-xosd/xmms-xosd-1.0.0-r1.ebuild
>media-sound/xmms-xosd/xmms-xosd-1.0.2.ebuild'

create digests with 'ebuild xyz.ebuild digest' if necessary.

(btw. nevertheless should an archived version of xosd-1.0.0.tar.gz be uploaded
to http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distributions/gentoo/distfiles/ to avoid
problems for people not reading bug reports and not sync the portage tree
regularly)

The tarball for 1.0.0 was removed from xosd's homepage. I've updated xosd to
version 1.0.2 and manually copied the new tarball to the distribution directory.
