i want that thing in the portage tree. it's really great and you can save LOTS
of bandwith and traffic. this makes portage valiable even for standard 56k
modem users. please consider this and check out the "official thread":

I use getdelta during last year,
it is a very good utility, and it safe my time and traffic,
it would be nice to have it in officiall portage tree

What is the status of the dynamic deltup server? Last I looked, it seemed like
development had died (the irc channel was dead, a comment/request for input on
the -dev ml was ignored, etc).

So... yeah. what's up with this source?
Beyond that, # of users would be nice to know since I'm still pushing an
alternative approach, bug 81425

------- Comment #4 From Brian Harring 2005-03-05 00:07:53 0000 -------
Nicolai, are you maintaining deltup upstream now?

------- Comment #5 From Stefan Schweizer 2005-03-05 01:33:37 0000 -------
thanks, fixed

------- Comment #6 From Nicolai Lissner 2005-03-06 10:59:02 0000 -------
about deltup-upstream:
Whenever I had contact with jjw I got a fast respond (happened last time to fix a gcc-3.4 issue) - jjw released a new deltup-version then. He's still maintaining his software.

about dynamic-deltup-server:
it's not dead - still running and still under development.
