same problem here

------- Comment #3 From Patrick Kursawe 2004-10-21 05:15:19 0000 -------
Could someone with a fortran-less gcc please check if he has
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/YOUR_VERSION_HERE/libg2c.so ?
When I link with this lib, all necessary symbols are found, but I am afraid it might be part of the Fortran option.

------- Comment #4 From Vincenzo Piombo 2004-10-28 12:21:13 0000 -------
I don't have /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/libg2c.so

so the bypass would just be to install the fortran options ?

------- Comment #5 From Vincenzo Piombo 2004-10-28 14:15:17 0000 -------
OK, added "f77" to use list, emerged gcc and now it builds correctly

------- Comment #6 From Patrick Kursawe 2004-11-30 07:03:02 0000 -------
Added the check from the newer version.
