Hi, some days ago, gtk+-2.4.9 has been marked stable, but 2.4.10 is already out, and it is a bug-fix release, so it shouldn't be much work to make a 2.4.10 ebuild out of the 2.4.9-r1 ebuild. See http://mail.gnome.org/archives/gnome-announce-list/2004-September/msg00041.html Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
gnome team is well aware when releases are made, no need for announce reports.
OK, but the ebuild 2.4.9-r1 was released two days after the release of 2.4.10, and if 2.4.10 is really a pure bugfix-release, 2.4.9-r1 ebuild could have been a 2.4.10 instead.
I was fully aware of the release at the time, but there were reasons to do it this way.
hey, hello :) I dont want to bother you or anything, but there are some problems related to gtk+-2-4-9-r1 that may be fixed with gtk+-2.4.10, like http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=64981 Thank you!
Hello, Is there a reason why GTK+ 2.4.13 isn't in portage yet?
well the reasons is that besides working on gentoo 23hrs a day, i also take an hour off to eat & sleep. That was the hour I was supposed to do this update, so I didn't get around to it yet. mmm why do i even bother to explain it, the guy isn't even on CC, thats how much he's interested in real development. fixed.
