Description Adam 2004-09-02 11:52:39 UTC
After installing linkchecker (emerge linkchecker) I noticed that I could only read the man page if I was root. After investigating, I discovered that the permissions for /usr/share/man/man1/linkchecker.1.gz are 600, when they should be 644 like all the other man pages.

This may be a bug with the linkchecker program as opposed to Gentoo, but I wasn't sure.
