Description:   Opened: 2004-08-27 17:24 0000
the gold edition of never winter nights does not seem to need any special extra
programs to be installed, but has some zip files, which need to be unpacked.
one could use those instead of downloading the whole stuff or copying an
windows installation over.

------- Comment #1 From SpanKY 2004-12-30 01:45:25 0000 -------
so what you're saying is that the Gold edition basically has the huge
nwresources129.tar.gz tarball on it in a bunch of zip files

please attach the output of 'tree <gold disk>' ... we need to know the layout
of the dvd in order to support it via the cdrom_get_cds() interface

erm, the provided URL seems to have all the info we need

------- Comment #3 From SpanKY 2004-12-30 01:51:52 0000 -------
what is this 'nwclientgold.tar.gz' the page talks about ? is it a drop in
replacement for regular nwclient, or is it an addon tarball ?

Directory listing 4 CDs + release tarball

NWN Gold is a 4 CD set containing the original and SoU.

Attached is a find of each disc and the nwclientgold.tar.gz. The client inside
is v1.32.7054 for comparison to the standard install client.

This is the North American Gold release. I believe the European is different
(bundled discs/packages instead of new release media?)

Sorry, I did try hard to find the dup, put i was looking for the name of the
package that broke, namely games-rpg/nwn-data which this bug no surprisingly
didn't mention. It doesn't even mention games-rpg/nwn , so I hope that by my
listing it here it will help others search for it :)

Just for the record of anybody else browsing this, I posted a lot of info on
Bug 178859, CD Toc's, INI dumps, Zip Toc's, just incase my ( australian/new
zealand ) version of Gold is different to others, or you need to know which zip
files to use ( as by the look of it, other editions of the CDs use zip files
too ).

Another Question: If I have the 4 CD Gold set and the /seperate/ HoU disk, then
how do i use this?, do we need to have flags to indicate which combinations of
disks we have?
