Hello,

after an emerge world i got an error message on starting gdm (/etc/init.d/xdm), which says that ServAuthDir is set to /var/gdm in /etc/X11/gdm/gdm.conf and this directory doesn't exist.
I changed in my config the ServAuthDir back to /var/lib/gdm and found a relation to this bug http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=53526.
Or do i have to create /var/gdm ?

no you shouldn't need to, i think i know why this is happening & fixed it in -r1. Please sync & merge 2.6.0.4-r1 that should contain a fix.
