Proposal for BIND-9.2.2-r5.ebuild with support for DLZ (see http://bind-dlz.sourceforge.net/). USE-flag "mysql" now only valid if USE-flag "dlz" is supplied. "mysql" replaced by (more approriate) USE-flag "bind-mysql" bind-9.2.2-r5.ebuild & digest comming as attachments in a "Additional Comment". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. USE="bind-mysql dlz mysql" emerge -uDpv bind 2. 3. Actual Results: [ebuild R ] net-dns/bind-9.2.2-r4 [9.2.2-r4] -doc +ipv6 +mysql -(selinux) +ssl 0 kB Expected Results: [ebuild U ] net-dns/bind-9.2.2-r5 [9.2.2-r4] +berkdb +bind-mysql +dlz -doc +ipv6 +ldap +mysql -odbc -postgres -(selinux) +ssl 0 kB ;) emerge info: Portage 2.0.50-r9 (default-x86-2004.2, gcc-3.3.4, glibc-2.3.4.20040619-r1, 2.6.7-gentoo-r12) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.7-gentoo-r12 i686 Pentium Pro Gentoo Base System version 1.5.2 Autoconf: sys-devel/autoconf-2.59-r4 Automake: sys-devel/automake-1.8.5-r1 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentiumpro -mfpmath=387 -mno-mmx -mno-sse -mno-sse2 -mno-sse3 -mno-3dnow -funroll-loops -pipe" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" COMPILER="gcc3" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb /usr/kde/2/share/config /usr/kde/3/share/config /usr/share/config /var/bind /var/qmail/control" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/gconf /etc/terminfo /etc/env.d" CXXFLAGS="-O3 -march=pentiumpro -mfpmath=387 -mno-mmx -mno-sse -mno-sse2 -mno-sse3 -mno-3dnow -funroll-loops -pipe" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoaddcvs buildpkg ccache sandbox" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://ds.thn.htu.se/linux/gentoo http://mirror.pudas.net/gentoo ftp://mirror.pudas.net/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/usr/local/portage" SYNC="rsync://192.168.0.1/gentoo-portage" USE="X apache2 apm avi berkdb bzlib crypt cups dio dlz dvb encode ethereal extensions foomaticdb ftp gd gd-external gdbm gif gmp gnutls gtk2 imagemagick imap imlib ipv6 java jpeg kerberos krb4 ldap libg++ libwww mad mailwrapper md5sum mikmod mime mmap motif mpeg mysql ncurses nls nocardbus oggvorbis oss pam pdflib perl png pnp python quicktime readline samba sasl slang snmp sockets ssl tcltk tcpd threads tiff truetype unicode usb vhosts virus-scan x86 xml2 xv zlib"
Created attachment 37529 [details] bind-9.2.2-r5.ebuild Looks good so far, ebuild-test not completed yet (takes a while on a 200MHz PPro...) but 'configure' didn't complain.
Created attachment 37530 [details] digest-bind-9.2.2-r5 digest including digest for DLZ-tarball.
Build success with USE="-berkdb +bind-mysql +dlz -doc +ipv6 -ldap +mysql -odbc -postgres -(selinux) +ssl". Didn't (and probably won't) test support for USE="berkdb ldap odbc postgres"
Bump! Any thoughts on this issue yet? /Charlie
Bump! Havn't heard _anything_ since I first created this bug (three months ago...), and now I've come to the point where I no longer concider this bug to be a enhancement, but a "real" and normal bug. Also upgraded priority to P1 as I (perheaps even more people?) am relly being dependent on the DLZ-features.
My Monthly Bump.
Not a word in five months, that must be some kinda record.... I bet that Fedora can do even worse ;) Anything? /Charlie
Sorry, the maintainer was a bit busy, i'll see what i can do about this bug. Thank you very much for the ebuild and your patience ! :)
USE="berkdb" fails here with some "db_create_4001" linker error, i have db-1.85-r1 and db-4.1.25_p1-r4 installed, just trying with "-berkdb", if it works i'll commit the ebuild hard-masked, as i'll be on vaccation next month :)
ok, i committed it to cvs, minus the berldb part. Thanks for your patience :)
