The following packages are missing the ~alpha keyword for these ebuilds. All of these compile without any problems and I have marked the ones that I have used for a while on my alpha au600 workstation. media-libs/alsa-oss-1.0.5 (compiled) media-sound/alsa-utils-1.0.5 (compiled) (used) x11-misc/fbpanel-3.8-r1 (compiled) (used) x11-misc/pypanel-1.2 (compiled) (used) x11-misc/imwheel-1.0.0_pre11 (compiled) x11-misc/wdm-1.26 (compiled) sys-kernel/gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.7-r13 (compiled) (used) sys-fs/lvm2-2.00.08 (compiled) (used) sys-libs/device-mapper-1.00.17-r1 (compiled) (used) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. emerge <package_name> Actual Results: !!! all ebuilds that could satisfy "<package_name>" have been masked. !!! possible candidates are: The alsa-oss and alsa-utils packages have been used on 2.4 kernels only with the es1688 sound driver since the es18xx or es1688 sound drivers do not work at all in the 2.6 kernel for alpha machines.
All set, thanks Sean Note I marked device-mapper-1.00.19-r1.ebuild and lvm2-2.00.15.ebuild ~alpha since that seemed more appropriate. Let me know if I did the wrong thing...
