Description gifu 2004-08-11 09:11:59 UTC
before emerging I had to do: cp /usr/portage/dev-util/kdevelop/files/kdevelop-3.1_beta1-bdb-fPIC.patch /usr/portage/dev-util/kdevelop/files/kdevelop-3.1.0_beta1-bdb-fPIC.patch

When I tried to emerge -uDv kdevelop, I get an error

using: kdelibs 3.3.0_beta2, gcc 3.4.1 20040803 (Gentoo Linux 3.4.1-r2, ssp-3.4-2, pie-8.7.6.5), gentoo-dev-kernel 2.6.7-r11

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -uDv kdevelop

====================================

should this bug be opened in a new case against kdevelop-3.1.0?
Comment 5 Scott Robert Ladd 2004-08-20 09:37:07 UTC
I am getting the same error as everyone else is; I don;t see the point in repeating the error messages other's have posted.
Comment 6 Benjamin Schindler (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-23 00:45:39 UTC
There is a patch available to make it compile. see bug #58013 for details
Comment 7 Danny van Dyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-28 20:01:33 UTC
*** Bug 61872 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Comment 8 Danny van Dyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2004-08-29 03:10:19 UTC
FIXED. Needed the same patch as 3.1_beta2 [BUG #58013].
In CVS now, thx!
Comment 9 Vermyndax 2004-09-22 14:47:07 UTC
Just tested this ebuild by doing ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~amd64" and emerging kdevelop-3.1.0... compiled beautifully. Thanks!

If my word is any indication, I say mark it stable! :)
Comment 10 Vermyndax 2004-09-22 14:47:46 UTC
My comment applies to kdevelop-3.1.0, NOT rc2 btw...
