Description Coacher 2016-10-04 15:14:01 UTC
Hello.

wicd-client has 'Switch Off Wi-Fi' button, which doesn't work unless rfkill is installed. I can also see in '/usr/lib/python2.7/site-packages/wicd/networking.py' that wicd calls rfkill.

Sorry, I don't know or care if this affects wicd-curses or wicd daemon itself.

Please fix.

Good point. Thanks for the report. One problem is that rfkill does not have ppc and ppc64 keywords while wicd does.

@ppc @ppc64, could you add keywords to net-wireless/rfkill ?

Stable for PPC PPC64.

For now I've added a RDEPEND on rfkill, although I'm not 100% sure it's right. Maybe a useflag would be better, as wicd works fine without rfkill (just the button won't work). But maybe it would be overkill...
- Also note that the button is also in the ncurses interface.
