emerge xemacs gives the attached.

okay... i might have been too quick to classify this problem as sandbox/glibc
related. It seems to be a parallel make problem this time. Please try:

   emerge rsync
   emerge xemacs

At this point run xemacs and see if it segfaults.

and if you could,

   emerge unmerge xemacs
   emerge xemacs-gtk

and also check if xemacs segfaults.
