now in portage. Daniel: I'd prefer if you don't resolve->fixed bugs that aren't
fixed in portage yet please.
Thanks for the submission :)

------- Comment #3 From Giacomo Perale 2004-07-19 09:17:41 0000 -------
sorry for using this FIXED bug but this doesn't seem to me a thing worth of
opening a new one

the portage ebuild for amule 2.0.0 rc5 is a copy of previous ebuild for amule
2.0.0 rc3 and I think it would be better to use the updated ebuild I submitted
in this bug report because:

* unicode block is no more needed: amule is now unicoded

* gtk2 block is needed only for wxGTK 2.4, because it seems stable with latest
masked development snapshot 2.5.1 and developers need feedback from users

* configure has been fixed and the ugly workaround I made for rc3 is not
necessary anymore

* there are a few new utilities that the old ebuild can't manage

* remote utilities work only with wxGTK 2.4 and when wxBase will be included in
portage it will become a dependency needed only with +remote flag, so I wrote a
conditional dependency in advance

rc5 ebuild (very similar to rc4 and rc4a) has been downloaded by nearly one
hundred people in amule site and there weren't negative feedback

------- Comment #4 From Jon Hood (RETIRED) 2004-07-19 15:23:05 0000 -------
sorry about that- I had tried to bump it before the bug report came in and
forgot to use the updated ebuild, which I did test and works. Thanks for the
update :)!
