This single bug will catch a number of issues in one bug: 1. Returning of KEYWORD x86 to xen-tools, xen-pvgrub 2. Stabilisation of xen-4.6 Recent attempts have to purge portage of the vns. of xen-4.2.5 are currently thwarted because they break rdeps. On closer examination, the root cause is that x86 keyword has been dropped from xen-tools. xen-pvgrub deps on xen-tools, and both support guest vms of arch x86. Only the most recent revbumped versions of these two warrant re-addition. On stablisation of the latest of xen vns. 4.5 & 4.6, We can finally purge the old xen-4.2 and the superseded revbumps of the vns. 4.5 & 4.6. This can be used also to centralise stabilising of xen packages for some current security bugs. Please make stable: Arch =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.5.2-r3: amd64 x86 =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.0-r5: amd64 x86 arm =app-emulation/xen-pvgrub-4.5.2: x86 =app-emulation/xen-pvgrub-4.6.0: amd64 x86 arm =app-emulation/xen-4.5.2-r3: amd64 x86 =app-emulation/xen-4.6.0-r5: amd64 x86 arm Arch arm has been supported since mid 2014 when I added it. There is no reason why it cannot be stabilised for arm now and arm64 when it becomes a stabled keyword.
Ian, I don't think we want app-emulation/xen stable on x86. Just xen-tools. I don't know what xen-pvgrub does so I can't comment on that.
yes a slip; Arch =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.5.2-r3: amd64 x86 =app-emulation/xen-tools-4.6.0-r5: amd64 x86 arm =app-emulation/xen-pvgrub-4.5.2: x86 =app-emulation/xen-pvgrub-4.6.0: amd64 x86 arm =app-emulation/xen-4.5.2-r3: amd64 =app-emulation/xen-4.6.0-r5: amd64 arm
