Description:   Opened: 2004-07-11 22:57 0000
i had emerged apachetop 0.12 and at the first start i became an error that he
cuoldn find the libtermcap-compat after reemerging this lib the error is gone
but now i had this error

woodworker # apachetop 
cannot connect to fam: Connection refused


Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge apachetop
2. emerge libtermcap-compat
3. run apachetop

I've made fixes to the ebuild which should hopefully sort this. Can you emerge
sync, re-merge and try again please?

I've got the same problem with apachetop 0.12

You have to start famd before using apachetop:

/etc/init.d/famd start

Probably a wrapper script that sets up famd (if it hasn't been started before) before running apachetop would be fine.

Thats not something Gentoo should provide. If you use apachetop a lot, add fam
to your runlevel, otherwise just remember to start it first.
