Description MW 2015-11-05 00:28:40 UTC
Created attachment 416094 [details, diff]
Creates symlink to documentation, enabling texdoc to find beameruserguide.pdf

Package: =dev-tex/latex-beamer-3.36 with doc use flag enabled
Invoked command: texdoc beamer
Expected behaviour: open /usr/share/doc/latex-beamer-3.36/doc/beameruserguide.pdf in default pdf reader
Actual behaviour: opens /usr/share/texmf-dist/doc/latex/bxdpx-beamer/README in less

The problem seems to be caused by texdoc not finding beameruserguide.pdf in the right place. The attached patch resolves this by creating a symlink to the documentation.

I provided a patch for this bug in my original report four months ago, but for some reason it has still not made it into the tree. Is there anything I need to improve in my patch in order to get it accepted?

nope, patch was correct, I've merged it, thanks!

(it had slipped out of the radar and your 'ping' made me notice :) )
