Description Christian Rudh 2002-07-26 02:45:12 UTC
"/etc/init.d/xdm stop" worked fine for me after I had upgraded to gdm-2.4.0.X.
But when I unmerged the old gdm-2.2.X.X it stopped working.

okay, will look at this to see if I can figure it out.

hmm, the launcher binary "gdm" only spawns gdm-binary and then exits, meaning we
cannot track the executable.

gdm-binary on its own will spawn two subchildren and then exit, meaning we
cannot track that either..

of course, we can brute it by doing killall gdm-binary ; that works. but not clean

azarah, can you look at this please?

Try gdm-2.4.0.4. I moved /usr/bin/gdm-binary to /usr/bin/gdm, and it works
this side.
