Description:   Opened: 2004-06-23 01:11 0000
I'm finding the outdated mkxf86config that is in portage rather outdated. It
doesn't detect some i810-dc100 cards properly, and doesn't detect the usage of
nvidia binaries. (This one doesn't do the later either, but you could fix it
rather easily. :)

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a catalyst built livecd.
2. Boot.

Actual Results:
Didn't detect an i810 integrated video for X. Also, didn't detect nvidia module
on another machine.

Expected Results:
It should have detected the frequencies/drivers properly.

------- Comment #1 From Chris Gianelloni (RETIRED) 2004-06-23 05:02:25 0000 -------
Fixed in CVS

Since we don't use mkxf86config on any of our LiveCD's (yet) it doesn't make a difference for release. Though personally, I have been using the newer version when working on the design of the GameCD's.

Thanks for the reminder to add it to portage proper.
