Also it requires it to provide a pkg-config metadate which is not so in gentoo yet. Reproducible: Always

This bug in clementine requires the both fix in report https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=548542 Compilation confirmed.
1. Can maintainer possibly acquire patches and confirm all? Once again we have fixes ready to go and it doesn't involve the actual maintainer. 2. This bug has been made to depend on 548542 however it could be done independently. It will still be flawed until that bug is resolved.

It will still be flawed until that bug is resolved. Yes it is, but IMO it's a bit hacky way... Here is a simple patch to fix it without bug #548542.
Frankly this appears adequate. Although a hack it would work. I shall simply await input form another dev here, however if it goes unreplied over ~ 2 weeks I am tempted to simply patch and close. Better to have a working ebuild than awaiting a seemingly unresponsive upstream.

works for me ;) but I suppose you are awaiting for a feedback from somebody else...
You'll do fine
