2.7.3 has a nasty bug in which it can't apply latest kernel patches (and more importantly the 4.0 one). It seems to be fixed in 2.7.4 according to those links.

I dont know, I only keyworded 2.7.4 on the (stable) "amd64" box where I had the problem. It worked while it fails with 2.7.3.

I'm pretty optimistic though :-)
