File /etc/apache2/modules.d/70_mod_php5.conf relies on two Apache modules:

  mod_dir:   DirectoryIndex
  mod_mime:  AddHandler

Please consider pulling them in as a dependency.  Thanks!

PS: Starting with 0.7.1-r4, mod_mime is no longer needed.
