net-misc/dhcpcd should have embedded use flag. Although I wouldn't change the file, I think it would be helpful to have embedded disabled so it installs dhcpcd-definitions.conf which gives a nice list of options that can be used in /etc/dhcpcd.conf which are otherwise not defined in any other documentation. The way the options are constructed is documented in dhcpcd.conf(5). dhcpcd-definitions.conf is composed entirely of RFC options. It is fully descriptive, but has a few limitations still - namely the ability to name bits of a byte as a flag and some other minor edge cases.
I added the use flag in 6.7.1. However, it is enabled by default to follow upstream. Let me know if you think there is a good case for not enabling it by default. Thanks for the report.
