Sstable version 1.0 of oprofile has been released. Checked that renaming oprofile-0.9.9.ebuild ebuild to oprofile-1.0.0.ebuild compiles and runs correctly on amd64, but some configure options have changed – I got "configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --enable-gui" (as if I'd care for that) http://oprofile.sourceforge.net/news/ > 2014-09-11 OProfile 1.0.0 released > OProfile 1.0.0 has been released.
