Description boris64 2014-11-24 15:17:03 UTC
When connected to the server query in teamspeak3-server-bin, i can't
run commands like "help" (output-> error id=1538 msg=invalid\sparameter).

This happens because the needed text files (like help.txt) aren't in place,
where they should be.

They get installed to
-> /usr/share/doc/teamspeak-server-bin-3.0.10.3/serverquerydocs

but these files should be in
-> /opt/teamspeak-server/serverquerydocs

Additionally these txt-files are installed via "dodoc" and are bz2-compressed
(at least on my server), so teamspeak isn't able to find them.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.telnet myserver-ip teamspeak3_server_query_port
2.type "help"
3.get output like "error id=1538 msg=invalid\sparameter"
Actual Results:
Escape character is '^]'.
TS3
Welcome to the TeamSpeak 3 ServerQuery interface, type "help" for a list of commands and "help <command>" for information on a specific command.
help
error id=1538 msg=invalid\sparameter

Expected Results:
Output with help.txt in place:

Escape character is '^]'.

Welcome to the TeamSpeak 3 ServerQuery interface, type "help" for a list of commands and "help <command>" for information on a specific command.

TeamSpeak 3 Server :: ServerQuery
(c) TeamSpeak Systems GmbH

ServerQuery is a command-line interface built into the TeamSpeak 3 Server which
allows powerful scripting and automation tools to be built based on the exact
same instruction set and functionality provided by the TeamSpeak 3 Client. For
example, you can use scripts to automate the management of virtual servers or
nightly backups. In short, you can perform operations more efficiently by using
ServerQuery scripts than you can by using a user interface.

Command Overview:
   help                        | read help files
   login | authenticate with the server
[...]
   whoami | display current session info
