Description:   Opened: 2002-07-20 00:04 0000
htdig hangs when generating an initial database with 100% utililization on the
CPU.

I've only confirmed this with a couple of people that have this same problem
but
one other person I talked to said they got thru it ok after a long time.

I've been unable to get anyone else to confirm this problem but the easy way
out
was to use glimpse so I would recommend that htdig be removed from the ebuild
and glimpse put in if your able to reproduce this problem. I can reproduce it
anytime. It's consistant for me.

I "investigated" and found out that rundig actually tried to index
www.htdig.org. It would therefore fail or take a long tmie depending on your
network connection. This is of course very bad and I've removed the rundig call
from the ebuild, thanks for reporting this. BTW, I can't replace the htdig dep
in kdevelop with lgimpse because glimpse has an educational-only license.
