There are some new feature in 3.4.* i would love to use. I would also love to keep sass installed with portage. Would it be possible to add a new ebuild?
https://github.com/sass/sass/blob/stable/VERSION states 3.4.6 as stable.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. set dev-ruby/sass ~amd64 in package.keywords
2. emerge sass
3. 
Actual Results:  
Will install 3.3.*

Expected Results:  
Should be 3.4.* as it has newer features.

This got help up because it's a slightly more involved bump because we have slots and need to avoid file collisions on the binaries. sass 3.4.6 is now in the tree.
