Description Nick Wiltshire 2014-10-22 00:33:31 UTC
On a brand new installation, setting the kolab USE flag pulls in this package which will not compile.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set kolab use flag to on for kde-base/kdepim-runtime
2. emerge -vaDN kde-base/kdepim-runtime
3. net-libs/libkolab-0.4.1 will be pulled in as a dependancy and fail
Actual Results:
Compilation of net-libs/libkolab-0.4.1 fails

Expected Results:
Compilation succeeds, Kolab is made available as an option in kmail.

Attachments to follow.

I'm not sure why it broke now (because it definitely built previously). In any case, thank-you for your report and this is now fixed in CVS.

+ 22 Oct 2014; Michael Palimaka <kensington@gentoo.org> libkolab-0.4.1.ebuild:
+ Pass correct option for toggling tests wrt bug #526396.
Comment 4 Rafał Mużyło 2014-10-22 15:55:50 UTC
The error is:
In file included from /var/tmp/portage/net-libs/libkolab-0.4.1/work/libkolab-0.4.1/tests/freebusytest.cpp:21:0:
/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/libkolab-0.4.1/work/libkolab-0.4.1/tests/testhelpers.h:47:1: error: redefinition of ‘struct QMetaTypeId<KCalCore::Duration>’

/usr/include/kcalcore/duration.h:338:1: error: previous definition of ‘struct QMetaTypeId<KCalCore::Duration>’

but there are a few odd things in the log:
- going by paths, shouldn't '-DWITH_BUILD_TESTS=OFF' have skipped this path ?
- 'Dependee "/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/libkolab-0.4.1/work/libkolab-0.4.1_build/tests/CMakeFiles/freebusytest.dir/DependInfo.cmake" is newer than depender "/var/tmp/portage/net-libs/libkolab-0.4.1/work/libkolab-0.4.1_build/tests/CMakeFiles/freebusytest.dir/depend.internal".' may imply a parallel make problem

That was a mistake in the ebuild, the correct option is -DBUILD_TESTS.
