As work is progressing on making gx86-multilib available on amd64 stable, we are trying to stabilize the versions that have their rdeps converted, so that emul-linux-x86-* packages are not forced into the depenency trees of stable systems. Please stabilize the above atom as it allows abi_x86_32-enabled dependencies to satisfy grub rather than enforcing a dependency on emul-linux-x86-baselibs.
I don't think grub-0.97-r14 officially exists yet, although bug #510758 has a couple of possible patches. For now, as a workaround, users can either turn off the "ncurses" USE flag for grub to avoid the emul-linux dependency (package.use), or bite the bullet and upgrade to grub:2.
Yes, that's a problem -- apparently i've been carrying a -r14 from bug 510758 locally for about 6 months. So, nevermind; :) I guess we need to get this ebuild in the tree first.
Any problem with CCing arches in a week or so?
