Description Thomas Deutschmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-10-16 09:36:14 UTC
Hi,

in linux-3.17.0, the ATA blacklist was broken, see

https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71371#c21
http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-ide/msg49669.html

This will cause data loss for any affected drive.

This was fixed in linux-3.17.1 with commit 1063368632f52a61ceb20565501606a090335878.

I am suggesting to mask any linux-3.17.0 source to prevent the risk of data loss. Should apply to

- =sys-kernel/gentoo-sources-3.17.0
- =sys-kernel/aufs-sources-3.17.0

Reproducible: Always

I masked vanilla and gentoo-sources. Assigning to Justin for aufs.
