Description Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-10-13 10:06:28 UTC
bumped pyquery-1.2.9 with py3.4 requires a dev-python/webtest which now has py3.4 support in webtest-2.0.15. webtest had most of its keywords stripped at bump to -2.0.11 and need returning. Am not sure whether 2.0.11 & 2.0.14 also warrant addition, leaving that to your discretion. I'd think they could be cleaned post re-addition.

Arches; alpha arm hppa ia64 ppc ppc64 s390 sh sparc x86-fbsd

though if you elect to abandon the Unstable arches, no problem
Comment 1 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-10-13 13:09:13 UTC
So keywords were dropped in January and nobody bothered to tell the arch teams?
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-10-13 18:28:51 UTC
HPPA already masked USE=test for dev-python/pyquery (bug #452764).
Comment 3 Anthony Basile gentoo-dev 2014-10-15 23:19:52 UTC
This one took me down the rabit hole of dependencies. But its now keyworded for ~ppc and ~ppc64.
Comment 4 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2014-10-22 10:07:49 UTC
Marked ~hppa.
Comment 5 Markus Meier gentoo-dev 2014-10-25 14:02:51 UTC
~arm added
Comment 6 Tobias Klausmann (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2015-07-11 14:58:23 UTC
Same as HPPA, we're not going to keyword 20+ packages (including such timesinks as octave) just so pyquery can run its test suite.
Comment 7 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2015-07-15 11:02:53 UTC
I had no idea the cost of a single testsuite could be so high. Given the baggage of Depends and blocks, it might be worth writing such overheads into the dev manual so one can simply restrict test in good conscience. This bug is now already 9 months old. I always thought testsuites were a good idea, until now. The notion of keywords dictating such decisions is rather disturbing, smacks of the tail wagging the dog.

Not sure what happened there but I do know that keywords have been dropped a number of times in python herd's packages and simply left dropped. I know because I found them and made req bugs to get them re-added. According to protocol it's not an indiscretion. This one appears to take it to another level
Comment 8 Ian Delaney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2015-08-07 03:40:31 UTC
These are unstable arches anyway. Leaves
ia64 & sparc
Comment 9 Justin Lecher (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2015-09-25 10:40:05 UTC
Could we please proceed here. Otherwise we nee to drop support here.
