To support the freshly released NVIDIA GeForce 980 and 970 the driver version 343.22 (short lived branch) is needed:

Be ware that support for G8x, G9x, and GT2xx GPUs was removed. Also I don't have one of the brand new cards, the driver version is required to set the correct dependencies in the corresponding CUDA toolkit ebuild, which I currently prepare for the science overlay.
