There a new version of the Linux flash player out, v7,0,25,0. The tarball name seems to have changed to install_flash_player_7_linux.tar.gz Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Created attachment 32109 [details] netscape-flash-7.0.25.ebuild with GTK support commented out Here is an ebuild that I have tested on my machine - I have commented out the gtk install part as I can't find if MM have released the Standalone player yet. Also the download URL should probably be setup to use the mirrors but I'm not sure how to do this. Still learing ebuilds ;-)
Created attachment 32144 [details, diff] Patch for ebuild to support flash plugin 7 I made another version, updating the standalone player as well (no 7 yet, but latest 6).

for source url put in: SRC_URI="mirror://macromedia/flash-plugin-${PVR}.tar.gz
it would probably be more appropriate to use the version number without the revision: SRC_URI="mirror://macromedia/flash-plugin-${PV}.tar.gz ... sorry for the mistake.
In CVS, thanks!
The new ebuild is in Portage more than half a year, and it is still marked unstable, though it's much more stable than the older version. Could anyone please mark it stable?
