The eth1394 module should not be autoloaded by genkernel.  The reason is that it blocks legitimate ethernet cards from grabbing eth0 on the LiveCD.  This is something we definitely want before 2004.2, which we are already testing.

Fixed in genkernel-3.0.2b; it should reach Portage from CVS in half-an-hour. Thanks!
