Looks like an older version of boost. I've just bumped the dep from >=boost-1.41.0 to 1.53.0. Can you resync and try again.

Please reopen if this is still a problem.

Any clue on this?

What version of leveldb are you using?

1.9.0-r6

I've tried several times to reproduce but can't. I'm not sure what's going on here.

@luke-jr, any clues?

@darkbasic. libmemenv.a is provided by leveldb. Why its borked on your system, I'm not sure. While it won't identify the bug, you can try to recompile that version or even leveldb-1.15.0-r1 and see if thta fixes it. The kind of error you're getting suggests a problem in the build system (the CFLAGS being passed) but as I said, I can't hit it, so I'm having difficulties debugging it.

Oh wait a sec. Something changed in the bug description! The first bug and the second bug you hit are diffferent.

Let's track the second bug in bug #518662. The original issue was fixed, so leave this closed.
Comment 9 Luke-Jr 2014-10-06 03:34:03 UTC
net-p2p/bitcoin-qt shouldn't depend on a newer boost, and the new dependency forces a ~arch boost on otherwise-stable systems. Can we reopen to get this resolved a better way?
