Description Klaus Kusche 2014-06-29 08:22:43 UTC
app-portage/elogviewer-0.6.* was removed from the tree.
For some strange reasons, 0.5.2 was kept in tree.
Now emerge wants to downgrade from 0.6.2-r2 (which worked fine for me)
to 0.5.2-r2 (which lacks features and is full of bugs,
e.g. silently drops parts of the logs it is expected to display).

I can't use elogviewer-2.x (no Qt at all here...),
and elogviewer-0.6 is the only working gtk-based elog reader
I'm aware of.

OK, I was not aware of 0.5.2 had so many bugs. It was the only other version marked stable is why I left it.

The ebuild has been restored. Sorry about the inconvenience.

The ebuild does need to be updated to a newer EAPI and python eclass. I will close the bug when that work is completed.

I have added app-portage/elogviewer-0.6.2-r3 which bumps the EAPI to 5 and converts the ebuild from the python eclass to the python-r1 eclass.

I will be removing the -r2 ebuild in a few days.
