Upstream update rstudio often. Often it is easy to bump the ebuild, for this
bump a patch requires tweaking. I was wondering if we could add the
sci-mathematics herd to the metadata so anyone on the herd can bump it?
I just wanted to note that I will bump rstudio soon if it is still at an old
version.

Last time I was involved with sci-* herd I got yelled at for importing overlay ebuilds to the tree (it wasn't copy paste, you know).

If I see useful patches anywhere, I will certainly look at them. If bumping takes too long on my side, you have every right to step in anyway.

Tweaking the patch wasn't enough at all. It took me 2 hours of fixing and testing.

So again: provide an actual patch if you want to help.

This version has added a dependency for app-text/pandoc, which on my system pulls in ALL the haskell packages (I may be exaggerating, but it's over a hundred). Is there a way to disable this dependency, or is it now absolutely required by upstream?

I just added it for fun.
