After upgrading the emul libraries, portage told me zsnes needed a recompile because of libpng16, but it failed due to libasound requiring glibc 2.16 (which causes the test link against libsdl in configure to fail). I also get this error in the wine control panel when clicking Test Sound: err:module:load_builtin_dll failed to load .so lib for builtin L"winealsa.drv": /lib32/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.16' not found (required by /usr/lib32/libasound.so.2) A grep -l in /usr/lib32 also showed libkrb5 and libcurl require glibc 2.16, both of those are in baselibs.
