Hello.

After upgrading kde workspaces to 4.11.9 and rebooting my machine I am unable to log into X via kdm. After typing a valid username/password combination the screen goes black for a second, then returns back to kdm, i.e. no actual login happens. I've tried overwriting my kdmrc with the default one, but it didn't help. There was no such problem with previous releases of kde-workspaces, namely 4.11.{7,8}

Please fix.

My dbus daemon is started and runs successfully as far as I can tell: rc-status show started, htop shows dbus process, daemon.log and debug logs do not show any errors.

After downgrading to 4.11.7 (4.11.8 is already removed) the problem is gone.

Take a look at ~/.xsession-errors. If it goes blank just after login and get's back to login screen, it may mean '/usr/bin/startkde' fails somewhere.

that only comes when I log in into a non-KDE session.

With kdm-4.11.8 all was ok.

Indeed, same here when trying to log into FVWM.
