Description Agostino Sarubbo gentoo-dev 2014-04-28 13:48:13 UTC
From ${URL} :

Mageia bug https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13274 reports that ownCloud versions 5.0.16 and 6.0.3
will fix several security issues:

http://owncloud.org/releases/Changelog
http://mailman.owncloud.org/pipermail/testpilots/2014-April/000132.html
http://mailman.owncloud.org/pipermail/devel/2014-April/000130.html

However, what those fixes are will not be disclosed until 2 weeks after the release of versions 5.0.16 and
6.0.3.

@maintainer(s): since the package or the affected version has never been marked as stable, we don't need to stabilize it. After the bump, please remove the affected versions from the tree.
Comment 1 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2014-04-28 15:19:06 UTC
Yes, final official packages should be announced this week (the temporary changelog usually has the first RC as a "release" date)
Comment 2 Bernard Cafarelli gentoo-dev 2014-04-29 11:38:38 UTC
5.0.16 and 6.0.3 are now released and in tree, vulnerable versions removed
Comment 3 Yury German Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2014-04-30 04:47:00 UTC
Moving this to Cleanup status (I know its already cleaned up), this is only to park it so that we can assign severity to it once the bug is disclosed in two weeks.
Comment 4 Yury German Gentoo Infrastructure gentoo-dev 2014-05-23 17:25:38 UTC

CVE-2014-3838 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3838):
ownCloud Server before 5.0.16 and 6.0.x before 6.0.3 does not properly check
permissions, which allows remote authenticated users to read the names of
files of other users by leveraging access to multiple accounts.

CVE-2014-3837 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3837):
The document application in ownCloud Server before 6.0.3 uses sequential
values for the file_id, which allows remote authenticated users to enumerate
  shared files via unspecified vectors.

CVE-2014-3836 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3836):
Multiple cross-site request forgery (CSRF) vulnerabilities in ownCloud
Server before 6.0.3 allow remote attackers to hijack the authentication of
users for requests that (1) conduct cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks, (2)
modify files, or (3) rename files via unspecified vectors.

CVE-2014-3835 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3835):
ownCloud Server before 5.0.16 and 6.0.x before 6.0.3 does not check
permissions to the files_external application, which allows remote
authenticated users to add external storage via unspecified vectors.

CVE-2014-3834 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3834):
ownCloud Server before 6.0.3 does not properly check permissions, which
allows remote authenticated users to (1) access the contacts of other users
via the address book or (2) rename files via unspecified vectors.

CVE-2014-3833 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3833):
Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the (1) Gallery and
  (2) core components in ownCloud Server before 5.016 and 6.0.x before 6.0.3
allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via
unspecified vectors, possibly related to the print_unescaped function.

CVE-2014-3832 (http://nvd.nist.gov/nvd.cfm?cvename=CVE-2014-3832):
Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the Documents component in
ownCloud Server 6.0.x before 6.0.3 allows remote attackers to inject
arbitrary web script or HTML via unspecified vectors, possibly related to
  the print_unescaped function.
