Google Hangouts doesn't work in =www-client/google-chrome-unstable-35.0.1912.2_p1.

It would seem that what we need is:

1. New ebuild for www-plugins/google-talkplugin (latest version in Portage is 5.1.5.0, latest upstream is 5.2.4.0).

2. Perhaps set google-chrome-unstable to depend on the new version, although I don't think this is a strict dependency, so maybe make it an optional dependency.

I'm not sure how, but we should prevent the new Chrome to be installed along with the old Hangouts (talkplugin) package.

Better check again quickly. With USE=-system-libCg, you get 
!!! doexe: opt/google/talkplugin/lib/libCg*.so does not exist

Looks like these aren't shipped any longer, maybe?

Thanks for the heads-up. I would suggest adding some blockers to chromium / google-chrome, but that could get a bit messy.

It looks like they are in the same unstable branch anyway.

Actually, I think it might not be too bad.

In www-client/chromium-35* and www-client/google-chrome-unstable-35*, we could add this:

RDEPEND="!<www-plugins/google-talkplugin-5.2.4.0"

The one issue I see is that you can have different versions of chromium / google-chrome installed, and you might not care about this plugin in both browsers.

Let's express stabilize www-plugins/google-talkplugin-5.2.4.0 in 10 days, then we don't need these blockers at all.
